Bus Drivers needed Full-Time and Part-Time

Purpose:
The Bus driver under the supervision of the coordinator/supervisor of transportation, ensures safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned routes, and operates a school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.

Qualifications:

 

Certification/Education:

• Diploma/GED
• Must be 21 year of age or older
• Must have a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CLD) (Class B)
• Required to take and pass DOT Physical
• Required to take and pass alcohol and drug test
• Required to take a 20 hour Texas State Certification Training
• Must have a clean driving record to apply

 

Skills:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to manage student behavior
• Ability to operate bus
• Must be able to understand instructions and communicate in basic English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

 Rate:  $10.50 an hour
